Background and goals

The quality of social relationships within the workforce is a central factor for the resilience and innovative ability of companies. However, its potential as a key point for processes of resilience building as well as its securing and promotion can often not be exploited; on the one hand, because existing recommendations for work design and team building measures that promote solidarity lack the necessary case sensitivity and, on the other hand, because they generate resistance among employees. The aim of the KoSpiRIT project is to develop a database-based toolset that enables companies to carry out a detailed analysis of the initial situation with regard to the connection within and between teams and to recommend tailor-made and sustainably effective measures to promote this.

Methods and results

In a network of scientific partners, intermediaries and practical partners, problem constellations are identified and typified that arise from various cooperation contexts in companies and can affect social solidarity. At the same time, collections of work-shaping solutions and team-building games are being created. The elements of the problem and solution dimensions are assigned to each other along psychologically based development goals. Based on the resulting matrix, the KoSpiRIT tool is implemented as a web application as an analysis and action aid for companies and inter-company actors, which is accompanied by low-threshold analogue supporting materials.
